SPP PROJECT AT OUR FACTORY
At Keramika, we continue to take important steps to reduce our environmental impact by applying our sustainability approach to our production facilities. In our warehouse and shipping buildings, as well as in our production facilities, we have installed special ceiling windows to provide natural daylight as an environmentally friendly lighting solution.
Through this innovative solution, we maximize the use of natural daylight, save energy, and reduce our carbon footprint. At the same time, we provide a healthier and more productive working environment for our employees. These windows bring a natural light source into the interior, helping to lower energy costs and support environmental sustainability.
WATER TREATMENT FACILITY
Our company has adopted as a fundamental principle the responsible use of natural resources by integrating its understanding of sustainability into all business processes. In line with this, the efficient and effective use of water constitutes one of the highest-priority areas of our environmental sustainability goals.
Water in our production processes is not only an important resource but, when properly managed, can significantly reduce our environmental impact. For this reason, the water treatment system at our facility is designed with high efficiency and advanced technology to enable the recovery and reuse of water.
Our water treatment facility optimizes our water consumption while minimizing the harmful effects that wastewater could have on the environment. As a result, a large portion of the water used in our production processes is reintroduced into the cycle, significantly reducing our water consumption and easing the pressure on water resources.
DEĞİRMİSAZ FOREST
At Keramika, we are proud to take our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection one step further. Through our afforestation project carried out in the Tavşanlı/Değirmisaz region, we have transformed a 300-hectare area into a forest, fulfilling our pledge to give back to nature.
This green initiative aims to contribute not only to our company but also to the vision of our local community and future generations of coexisting in harmony with the environment. The afforestation project supports regional ecosystems by enhancing biodiversity, preventing erosion, and increasing carbon absorption.
At the heart of the project lies our commitment to protecting natural resources and to environmental sustainability. Afforestation not only reduces carbon emissions but also has the potential to regulate the water cycle and improve the local climate.
DEĞİRMİSAZ SPP PROJECT
We are taking our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly projects one step further. Meet our "Değirmisaz Solar Power Plant (SPP) Project", carried out in Tavşanlı/Değirmisaz.
This special project was launched to transform a former mining area into an effective resource for energy generation. Combining modern technology with environmentally friendly energy production processes, the Değirmisaz SPP Project minimizes environmental impact by adhering strictly to the principles of sustainability. The Değirmisaz SPP Project is not limited to energy generation; it also represents our commitment to fulfilling our environmental and social responsibilities.
